MetaPieces: An Interactive Abstract Art Making Table, 2015.

MetaPieces was an interactive prototype touch-screen table engaging participants in the deconstruction and abstract reconstruction of well-known paintings. MetaPieces encourages museum visitors to view art, but also to create it.

The touch-screen table is also connected to a high-end printer, allowing participants to print their work and to leave the museum with a self-generated “souvenir.” This video abstract was developed in my graduate (MFA in Design) studies at the Dynamic Media Institute at Massachusetts College of Art and Design and is more fully documented in my graduate thesis book The Education of a Communication Designer (2017).
